Organic Farming

The Rotary Club of Kolkata Benevolence, through its unwavering commitment to benevolence, champions ethical, sustainable, and indigenous farming practices. In furtherance of this dedication, a hands-on workshop on organic farming took place on February 11th at G Plot Island, Sunderban, in collaboration with the local community center, Ramdhonu. The workshop aimed to empower attendees
with the knowledge and skills to craft organic fertilizers and insect repellents using commonly available household items in the
village.

As part of its outreach, the club generously distributed vegetable seeds, including brinjal, ridge gourd, and okra, to farmers
and homemakers, fostering a comprehensive approach to agricultural sustainability. Furthermore, a small-scale model kitchen garden was established to vividly illustrate the tangible benefits and positive outcomes associated with embracing organic farming techniques
