Health Camp

On February 10th, 2024, the Rotary Club of Kolkata Benevolence
partnered with Ramdhanu, a local community development
center, to orchestrate a health camp on Gplot Island in
Sunderban, West Bengal. This collaborative effort aimed to
extend healthcare services to marginalized farmers, villagers,
fishermen, and their children.

The camp, graced by two general physicians and a dentist,
provided invaluable health check-ups and essential medicines
completely free of charge. The villagers were deeply appreciative
of the initiative, recognizing its profound impact on their well-being.

Moved by the tangible benefits they received, the villagers voiced
a heartfelt plea for more frequent and regular health camps in
the future, underscoring the pressing need for sustained
healthcare support in their community.
